It ended up becoming something more personal, less "good writing" but more real, so I stashed it away instead of submitting it. I'm just going to list what I like doing on here/why I'm here:
-to catalogue my poems and lyrics so there is no more need for those pesky, flimsy notebooks I have lying around everywhere
-to compare and read amateur literature
-I love looking at some of the visual art on here, and end up just favouriting a bunch of dogs and cats...
-getting feedback from wide varieties of people, especially those who are on the other side of the globe

If anything, poetry is necessary to share, and to love(insert whatever emotion). It isn't really a poem till someone else reads it.

Sometimes I'll get so caught up in trying to figure out a new combination of words I won't even finish the piece. My vulnerability has something to do with that, and I'd like to think is a main essence that comes through the feel of the words.

but I try to take advantage of my useless time, and sometimes take 15 minutes on one line

I'm writing a book and I wanted to tell someone so I'm telling you, Deviantart. It's about my experiences with relationships, more specifically the duplicitous nature of the partners - the main character (me, of course ;)) is having an on-and-off relationship with a woman named Zarah, and I keep having dreams of a woman named Joey. Basically Joey is a sex-crazed, passionate, energetic fiend who wants to wreck my real-life, and Zarah is a lethargic, new-age monster who I do all the girlfriend-y stuff with (dates, all the dramatic crap). It's a first attempt at a transgressive piece of fiction. the setting is the nite-club scene of Fortitude
